Easy Crafts to do with your Toddler
Updated: Aug 18, 2021

With a toddler, I’m always trying to think of new ways to keep him entertained, engaged, and learning. Now, that’s not to say that learning videos on YouTube aren’t my friend either, but I like to think of ways to keep my toddler actually participating in an activity. So what better way than a craft?!
Yes - a craft. You mean paints, glue, crayons, markers and anything else you can imagine with a crazy, running around, toddler? Yep. Why would I do that to myself?
Well, it helps their dexterity, help keeps them curious, and overall, just tires them out a bit for an easier nap time. See - ulterior motive.
So what did we do this particular Saturday? We painted a $3 elephant planter from Target using all Dollar Tree materials. How much more budget friendly does it get?
And the best part, it kept my son occupied for a good 45 minutes (which in toddler time is an eternity) and it made him feel proud of himself. Which then made this mama proud. A win-win for under $10.
Here’s a list of the materials we used:
$3 Elephant Bullseye Planter from Target (You can find similar planters all over, even the local Dollar stores)
Crayola Washable Paint
Sponge brush
And voila, you have yourself a personalized planter.
